Every spiritual tradition teaches us that real happiness comes from giving, and the teachings of bhakti yoga are no different.
When we engage in selfless service - particularly when we try to help others begin or continue their spiritual journey - we make huge progress in our own spiritual life, and we feel a happiness like no other.
We tried it, and it works! This idea is where Hare Krishna Canterbury came from, and it's why we work so hard to do what we do.
We're not financed in any way by any spiritual institution or big corporation; everything we do comes straight from our hearts, and is paid for by the people who make up this small but committed community.
We like to think that what we do is grassroots spirituality at it's very best - and it's this family mood which makes what we do so special.
Since 2016 we've put on 5 free festivals, over 300 free meditation and yoga workshops, served 7,400 free meals and distributed over 10,000 spiritual books to the general public. That's quite an achievement!
Along the way we've been able to provide volunteering opportunities for dozens of people of all ages and from all backgrounds, too.
If you'd like to support us, then you can do so via Paypal, using the buttons on this page.
If you'd prefer to donate your time, then we'd love to hear from you too!
We have monthly book distribution festivals, weekly cooking opportunities, and a whole host of things which we'd love to do with some friendly, caring people like you.
Maybe you'd like to distribute spiritual books to your family, friends, or colleagues? Or perhaps you'd just like to help us set up before an event?
Every skill can be used in the service of others, so please get in touch if you'd like to help out or if you have any ideas about how you could take part - we'd love to hear from you!
