This week: Celebrating the life and songs of Bhaktivinoda Thakura
Updated: Jul 15, 2019
Among many things, Bhaktivinoda Thakura was a great saint, spiritual reformer and a prolific writer from 19th century Bengal.
His songs and poems (one if which you can hear in the video below) are celebrated to this day as some of the most deeply devotional spiritual writings that we have, and practitioners of bhakti yoga often sing them to gain an insight in to the heart and mind of such a great soul.
We'll be doing just that this Saturday, with a special sacred song workshop dedicated to the life and teachings of this exceptional person.
Please join us at the Canterbury Umbrella Centre from 5pm for a very special evening! The usual veggie feast will be served at the end of the program.
